Replace Two Suppression Valves, Bldg. 15590

FedCon/South Bay Joint Venture is tasked to design build project that will include removing of 2 Grinnell deluge valves, pneumatic heat detectors, pneumatic releasing valves and any other associated components. Design and install 2 new electro-mechanical deluge fire suppression system valves, new explosion proof heat detectors, new explosion proof releasing valves and any other associated components needed to make this a complete and usable system.

FIRE SUPPRESSION WATER SUPPLY AND EQUIPMENT

Design and provide new electro-mechanical deluge fire suppression system valves and controls to replace existing deluge valves and controls at building 15590: Building 15590 – Valve # 02222 & Valve # 02223. Refer to Part 6 Building 15590.  Design shall include, but not limited to new deluge valves and any other accessories or equipment to have a complete and usable system. Design shall include a new releasing panel to activate valves, manual releasing devices, new heat detectors, beacons, conduit, wire and other components needed to make these complete and usable systems. The new system shall connect to existing Radionics fire alarm panel to activate building evacuation alarms and transmit alarm, supervisory and trouble signals to the Regional Dispatch Center (RDC). The existing Radionics panel and the RDC alarm account shall be reprogrammed to remove existing deluge points and to add new points for the new releasing panel.

The building is an active Ordnance Operating Facility. Schedule work at least fourteen (14) days advance notice to the Contracting Officer in the FEAD Office prior to start of work. The building will be non-active during the time of the construction.
