Federal Construction Group, Inc. is tasked to provide all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and testing required to
accomplish the repair and restoration of windows and doors at the Jacob Weinberger Federal Building
The objectives and goals of the project include, but are not limited to the following:
1.1 Abate lead paint, repair, refinish, and repaint 179 wood windows at the historic Weinberger
Courthouse. Windows need a high level of repair and are vulnerable to unauthorized access due
to operability failure. Repairs of all damaged and weathered historical window frames and grills
are to include architectural element refinishes.
1.2 Staining and repairs of exterior doors that have been weathered.
1.3 To prepare the required documentation and procure the work required to correct the deficiencies identified in this Scope of Work.
1.4 Provide a breakdown fee proposal for the project.
1.5 To establish work order priorities in order to carry the work in a phased approach, taking into account the needs and desires of the tenant agencies and the realities of budget constraints and limitations.
1.6 To design the project to be in compliance with all GSA Fire / Life-Safety and Environmental requirements.
1.7 To protect the building during construction.
1.8 To protect the historic mural during construction.
